FARM SCENES: SPRING PLANTING FEST 2006
We enjoyed a day of scattered rain, sharing our homestead with members and guests. Farmer Brad gave a farm tour, Andrew Smiley, from the Sustainable Food Center & the Austin Downtown Farmers Market was guest speaker. The Inn at Dos Brisas, The Oaks of Mamre Farms and Darlene Barrett from Schoenau Valley Farms, with her 3 week old calf and bunny added to the petting zoo. The grand finale was our Ladybug Release Party... sending off 100,000 ladybugs to feast on the farm... Special Thanks to Candy, Jessica and Ashley Fite for organizing the children's activities!
