HERITAGE PORK

We raise our heritage pigs in an open pasture where they are free to forage for grass, roots, and minerals.  We feed a GMO-free swine feed.  This is all good nutrition, however, we make our pork special by supplementing their diet with our own whole Jersey milk, giving the pork a flavor that should hint of cream.  As a health bonus, the CLA's and Omega 3's from the milk of the pastured Jerseys are deposited in the fat of the pork, making  the pork as healthy as it is flavorful.  Our pigs are raised in a low-stress lifestyle and have not been given any type of antibiotics, hormones, or chemicals.  Please view the cuts of pork we currently have available.

McGEARY RANCH

McGeary Ranch is a chemical-free, grass-based farm run by Mike and Judith McGeary. We raise our animals as close to their natural state as possible, and work hard to improve the soil and increase the diversity of our plants. The result is a healthy environment, healthy animals, and nutritious food.

Our sheep are 100% grass-fed on chemical-free pastures, with alfalfa hay as a treat. Livestock guardian dogs protect the sheep from predators, so that they can range freely in search of the best grass and forbs. Our sheep are never fed any grain, so their meat is low in fat, yet high in Omega-3, CLA, Vitamin E, and other important nutrients. Lamb protein is more easily digested and better utilized than beef protein. Lamb is an excellent source of zinc, iron, B vitamins, and carnitine, which is needed to generate energy from fatty acids. Our sheep have free-choice access to natural supplements such as kelp, redmond salt, and diatomaceous earth, to keep them in optimal health and provide the highest nutritional value possible.
